New Job
- Click the green menu button located at the top right of the screen.
- Click the “New Job” button
- Because this is our first job click “New Client”.
- Make sure to at least enter a company name. You can then proceed to enter as much information about the company as you would like. If this new client is also an attorney firm click the box “Client is attorney firm”. Now click done.
- If you have a client contact click “New Contact”.
- Enter a first and last name for the contact and then as much additional information as you would like. Then click done.
- The client contact list will now show the new contact. Click the new contact to assign them to this job.
- If the attorney doesn’t already exist then click “New Firm” and repeat the process above for entering a “New Client”.
- Next select a priority for the job. ProcessMaster comes preloaded with 2 priorities Standard and Rush. You can add additional priorities by going to Settings->OneView then look for Priority.
- By default the date/time received will automatically fill in with the current date/time. This can be turned off by going to Settings-OneView and checking the box for “Date received empty on new jobs.”
- Next enter a serve by date. This date will print on the field sheet and work order. It will also be visible on your servers mobile phones (If your version of ProcessMaster includes mobile access)
- Select your case type followed by entering the case number if you already have one.
- Your date filed is next. Again if you have one.
- The case title, text are next. You can specify any type of Plaintiff or Defendant. The caption will except more text that what you see on the screen. Just keep typing and the box will continue to grow.
- If you have a court date enter that next. Upon entering a court date you will see a court time field appear. Enter that information if needed.
- Click Select Court to assign a court. ProcessMaster comes preloaded with lots of courts so we will begin by checking to see if the court we need already exists. Enter the 2 letter abbreviation for the state followed by the court county. ProcessMaster will then list any matching courts. If you still need to add a court click “New Court”
- n the court name enter a name for the court that will make it easy to pick out in the list. For example Supreme Court or Family Court. You don’t need to include the state or county in the court name field.
